Tumblr Monday 73 - Tumblr Artist

Fabio Villafane aka NO NAME | on Tumblr (?) - stone

NO NAME’s photography has a witty rawness of light and forms which turns into delicious conceptual images, and the nude becomes just as natural as the food we eat or the plant we grow. It’s not easy: there’s a very thin line between natural nudity and eroticism, and NO NAME’s work is just making a point not crossing the line. Where there’s a girl sleeping at the table, it can be seen as an old man or a child. There’s no sexuality but just humanity, which makes the photograph even more interesting. The way NO NAME plays with form and light over beings is just exquisite, making the table almost more naked than the person. And this is a very important point for the most puritans networks like FB: natural nudity is only porn in our own mind if we want it to be. * Many thanks to ycphotographs for this Tumblr Monday, watching NO NAME’s work is fun!
