The works of artist Sharon Dowell focus on the Universe’s hand coupled with the choices we make that bring us to where we are at this moment in time: “I capture the energy of place, the economic boom and downturn, and explore the theme of man vs. nature. Recent travels to Iceland, Mexico, and Berlin have especially impacted my work. Interested in the documentation of memory and place, I strive to find beauty in often overlooked structures and spaces.
