Jonathan Waiter is a New York-based freelance photographer. He is interested in the subtle darker viral pervasive feelings. He is fascinated by the human perception and how easily it is coloured by our mental outlook on the world. Jonathan also focuses on the artist / subject relationship, a process he beliefs can reveal the emotional vulnerability of the portrayed (cf. 500photographers) You can visit his website or follow his Tumblr for more work.
Recently, Jonathan learned that he has a fast growing cancer, Lymphoma, that has metastasized throughout his body. He is undergoing an aggressive treatment without the benefit of health coverage. Please give your love and support via GoFundMe or his online print store that his friends have created to help him through this long and difficult process.
Ryan Kalivretenos, Heather Huey and Billy Kidd have started an online print store to help raise funds for Jonathan Waiter and his fight against cancer: “All profits go to Jonathan for medical expenses and day to day life. We have a small collection of 20 prints up now, but we will increase this collection as support grows, and that’s something we need. Jonathan has been diagnosed with Stage III B, Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma. We as a community need to band together and help support those battling such difficult diseases.” You can also give your support via GoFundMe page or help to spread the word!
