Alejandro M. Campos Herrera is an architect / photographer based in Puebla, Mexico. Through his artwork soft, calm and luminous, he wishes to show the beauty of his country: “I often worry about the perception people abroad have of Mexico. Sometimes I’ve come across people thinking it’s an ugly, dangerous place while, like many other places in the world, it has both good and bad things. I try to focus on the beautiful and simple side, such as its diversity and culture. However I try to avoid the cliché super colorful “Mexican” photographs and always work with soft tones and a square format.” Life is challenging Alejandro to showcase crowded places as if they were actually calm ones. He is also drawn to unique, unrepeatable scenes found along the way: “Finding beauty in unexpected places, for I believe beauty is everywhere, we just got look a little bit closer.” Please visit Alejandro’s website or follow his Tumblr for more works.
